How to Keep Your Terrarium Thriving in the UAE Climate
Terrariums are perfect for indoor greenery — but in the UAE’s warm climate, a little care goes a long way. At Greenz Middle East LLC, our terrariums are designed to adapt to different indoor environments, offering a balance of beauty and resilience.
1. Choose the Right Spot
Place your terrarium in a bright area with indirect light — near a window or in a well-lit room. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, as the UAE sun can overheat the glass and harm the plants.
2. Keep the Temperature Balanced
Terrariums thrive best between 18°C and 28°C. Try to keep them away from air conditioners, heaters, or vents — extreme airflow can dry out the plants.
3. Water with Care
One of the best things about terrariums is that they’re low maintenance.
For closed terrariums, water only every few months or when the soil looks dry. For open terrariums, a light misting once every 2–3 weeks is ideal.
4. Watch the Humidity
If condensation builds up on the glass, open the lid for a few hours to balance humidity. A little fog is fine — it means your ecosystem is working perfectly.
5. Clean and Trim Occasionally
Gently wipe the glass and trim any overgrown plants. A tidy terrarium not only looks beautiful but also keeps the plants healthy.
In short, even in the UAE’s desert climate, your terrarium can thrive beautifully with a bit of care and love — bringing fresh, green life into your home or office all year round.
